Man Up: Deceptively Simple, Tightly Focused

I arrived late(ly) to the genius graphic novelist Jeff Lemire, a fella from Ontario, Canada.

Lemire is the creator of the Essex County trilogy, a fictionalized version of his rural roots and a compelling parallel to central Illinois farm country.

New York Magazine ranks the third book in Lemire's trilogy as one of the best graphic novels of 2008.
